Adam the HipNerd ⁽³¹⁾

I play drums, have always wanted to make my own, and finally got around to trying it. Starting with an 8-inch drum head and a dream, I go through the process of developing this drum through a couple of iterations to the finished version.

Wall clock made with recycled lumber. With lessons learned from my other "puzzle" mandala pieces, I made this clock. There were two problems to overcome: a broken bit, and a miscalculation about the shaft length of the clock motor.

I rescued a bunch of these film cans from the trash, and I decided to make them into clocks. The numbers on the clock are movie posters with numbers in the title, e.g. "Twelve Monkeys" for 12:00, and "Five Easy Pieces" for 5:00. There are…

This was quite a challenging build in several ways, and I learned a lot. I have an idea to make another with an easier and cheaper technique.

I made shakers out of the scrap plywood left over from the mandala wall art projects. I tried different fillings, including a smashed ceramic coffee mug.
