14 X 6 Inch Maple Snare Drum
Taking what I learned from making the 8-inch tom, I made this 14-inch snare. Some lessons from this build: recess the tension rods, more lugs (traditional snares have 8 or 10), allow the lug nuts to "float", better hardware and heads.
